As a researcher and academic specializing in media and ICT management and policy, I am passionate about exploring the intersection of technology, communication, and business. Currently, I serve as a Research Fellow at OpenRoute Inc. and hold the position of Adjunct Professor at Kyung Hee University’s Graduate School of Media and Communication.
My academic journey culminated in a Ph.D. in Operations Management and Management Information Systems from Soongsil University, which has been the foundation of my research into media industry policy, media ESG, and ICT industry efficiency. I’ve had the privilege of contributing to the academic community through publications in respected journals such as Telecommunications Policy and Total Quality Management & Business Excellence, focusing on topics like efficiency analysis of media companies, global financial investment connectedness, and the adoption of IoT services.
Beyond academia, I’ve dedicated myself to bridging the gap between theory and practice. I’ve led numerous research projects for government organizations, including the Korea Communications Commission and the Ministry of Science and ICT, as well as for major media corporations like CJ ENM and LG HelloVision. These experiences have allowed me to play a role in shaping media policies, developing industry strategies, and advancing digital content creation.
I’m honored to have received recognition for my work, including commendations from the Chairman of the Korea Communications Commission and the Minister of Science and ICT for contributions to media regulation and OTT policy development. These acknowledgments fuel my commitment to driving innovation in the field.
As an active member of professional organizations such as the Korean Society for Quality Management and the Korean Society for Broadcast & Telecommunications, I strive to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing within our industry.
My goal is to continue navigating the complex landscape of modern media and technology, offering insights that can help shape the future of digital communication and content creation. I believe that by combining academic rigor with practical industry insights, we can better understand and address the challenges and opportunities in our rapidly evolving digital world.
